We are ships in the harbor waiting to be called on the greatest journey of our lives.
We get comfortable in the sedentary, fearing the unknown. Scared to set sail.
The journey is engrained in us if we only have the courage to let go of our ties to shore.
Complete surrender to the adventure that is waiting - no turning back.
Ironically, peace comes in the uncertainty of letting go.
It seems contradictory but it’s what we were made for.
A sailboat was never meant for the shore.
And in the unknown, our compass, the Lord, never fails us.
Many people never leave the harbor, waiting until the water is just right.
The fear of a storm keeps them from doing what they were made to do.
The time is now.
The water will never be perfectly still but the only anchor we need goes with us.
If we wait for all the conditions to be “perfect”, we will always be waiting.
His plan is charted in our sails carried by the winds of the Holy Spirit.
As our compass, He will guide us to our purpose & eternal destination.
Set sail friends and do not fear - you were made for more than life on the shore.
